Trial rights in Serbia: strict restrictions for beginners
Everyone who has applied for a driver's license in Serbia for the first time (after the age of 19) receives a probna dozvola for 2 years. The rules for beginners here are among the strictest in Europe.
What is prohibited for a driver with a trial license:
Driving at night: it is forbidden to drive from 23:00 to 06:00.
🏎️ Drive powerful cars: the maximum engine power is 80 kW.
🍷 Alcohol consumption: the norm is strictly 0.00 ppm (0.2 for experienced drivers).
📱 Use your phone: You can't even use Hands-Free, Bluetooth, or headphones.
🛣️ Drive at standard speed: limits are lowered.
• On the autobahn — up to 110 km/h.
• 🛣️ On high—speed roads - up to 90 km/h.
• On all other roads - no more than 90% of the allowed speed.
To drive without identification marks: there must be stickers "P" (Honorary) on the windshield and rear window.
The main risk is that ordinary rights will be revoked for 18 penalty points, while trial rights will be revoked for only 9 points. If they are taken away, the entire driving school will have to be completed and paid for again.
After two years of restrictions, trial rights are automatically changed to permanent rights.
